This mare was bred by Thoroughbred Polo Ponies in Argentina. She played up to 24 goal polo in Argentina with a 5 goal player before she was imported to the UK in 2005 where she has played everything from 6 goal to 18 goal very well. This mare is out of a mare called Pura Suerte who is by Mantecon, a well known thoroughbred blood line used at the top levels in Argentine polo for many years. Her sire is called Good Bluff, a son of Farnesio by Good Manners and out of La Farnesina. This blood line is considered as 'gold dust' in the polo world. This bloodline which started to show qualities in sprinters way back with Nashua in the 1960's quickly showed that it was arguably the best thoroughbred line for polo. Farnesio, a legend in the racing world followed his grand sires amazing foot steps building a career few can and have ever matched. to add to all that he also produced fantastic horses for polo for those lucky enough to be able to get a mare served by him. All of the stallions he produced have been excellent broodmare sires.
This beautiful thoroughbred at only 3 and a half years old is already stick and balling superbly and played played her first chukkas - She has excellent conditions for a fantastic future.
Porrito is a divine 4 year old gelding. Product of embryo transfer out of an Argentine mare with a long career in medium goal polo in Argentina and England. He is sadly the last one from this mare's line! He has played his first chukkas and has a bright future. A truly fine boy.
